Former Isibaya actress and celebrated comedian Celeste Ntuli has opened up about a terrifying car accident that almost claimed her life.

The award-winning entertainer, who recently earned the prestigious Best Comedian Award, shared her harrowing experience with fans on her social media, leaving many relieved and inspired by her resilience and gratitude.

Recently, Celeste took to her Facebook account to post photos of the wrecked vehicle involved in the accident. In the heartfelt caption, she expressed her thankfulness, writing, “Grateful for life! Happy Saturday, everyone. @jaecoosouthafrica, thank you, the car saved my life. Live, love, laugh, light, and land.”

The post garnered an outpouring of support from fans and fellow entertainers, who flooded the comments with uplifting messages and relief that she had emerged unscathed.

In a candid follow-up video, she revealed that the accident occurred on Friday, 26 September 2025, while she was en route to a show in Secunda, Gauteng. Describing the incident as a “proper near-death experience,” she emphasized her gratitude for the sponsored vehicle, which she credits for saving her life, despite ongoing complications related to its sponsorship.

“They are still sorting it out, and of course, there are so many issues with that because it’s a sponsored car,” she explained, adding, “but I’m just thankful for it because it saved my life.”
