Mpho Mathabi, a talented individual who defies physical limitations by using his legs to write and perform everyday tasks, is living his dream as a Marketing and Communications Admin Clerk at Vhembe TVET College.

His inspiring journey is a testament to the power of determination and education in overcoming adversity.

Growing up, Mpho attended Tshilidzini Special School and later Philadelphia Secondary School, before pursuing a marketing qualification at Vhembe TVET. After graduating in 2022, he landed an internship at the college, which eventually led to a contract position.

Mpho’s achievements extend beyond his professional role, as he is also an author and founder of the Vhumatshelo Hashu NPO, which supports people with disabilities.

Through his organisation, Mpho provides various forms of support, including motivational talks at schools and donations to those in need. His efforts have made a significant impact, inspiring others to pursue their dreams despite challenges.

“Education can change almost everything in our lives,” Mpho emphasises, highlighting the importance of empowering individuals with disabilities through education and opportunities.

His story serves as a beacon of hope for many, proving that with perseverance and support, anything is possible.
