MaMkhize’s Luxury Items Up for Auction Amid Ongoing Tax Debt Issues
Businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn MaMkhize Mkhize is set to lose more luxury items after the South African Revenue Service (SARS) seized several of her moveable assets to recoup part of the over R40 million tax debt she owes.
This development comes months after dozens of her luxury vehicles were auctioned off. The auction, which will run from October 10 to October 15, 2025, will feature a range of luxury items, including:
Designer Handbags:
– Balenciaga
– Saint Laurent
– Goyard
– Louis Vuitton
– Dior
– Gucci
– Burberry
Luxury Vehicles:
– A 2021 Lamborghini Urus valued between R4 million and R5 million
– Construction vehicles
Other Items:
– Hairdryers
– Fans
– Washing machine
– Trash cans
MaMkhize’s troubles began when SARS took control of her Royal AM Football Club to recover over R37 million in unpaid taxes. The club was eventually sold, but the tax debt remains unresolved. MaMkhize has also been charged with forgery, bribery, and fraud, adding to her financial woes.²
South Africans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the auction, with some finding humor in the situation and others believing the auctions are inconsequential.
As MaMkhize’s assets are auctioned off, it’s unclear what the future holds for the businesswoman and reality TV star. Will she be able to settle her tax debt and regain her footing, or will her financial struggles continue? Only time will tell.
