Tony Forbes, AKA’s father, is speaking out after Bheki Cele, former Police Minister, made some serious allegations about his son’s involvement in Anele Tembe’s death.

According to Bheki Cele, police investigators believed Anele’s death was a murder, and he indirectly implicated AKA. Tony described Bheki’s claims as hurtful and unfair, stating that his son was a calm and kind-hearted individual who would never commit murder.

Tony emphasised that the inquest into Anele’s death will proceed, and they will present evidence to clear AKA’s name. He wants to make it clear that his son was not aggressive and would never harm anyone. Tony also set the record straight about an incident where Bheki claimed to have visited their home to pay respects after AKA’s passing, saying this simply didn’t happen.

The family is determined to clear AKA’s name and get to the truth about what really happened to Anele. Tony believes the inquest is the right platform for this and is confident that the evidence will show AKA’s innocence. With the truth being the ultimate goal, Tony hopes that justice will be served for both AKA and Anele.
