It’s that time of the month again. I know, it’s the worst right?
Nobody actually looks forward to it because it doesn’t just bring pain and discomfort. It also comes with mood swings, sore breasts, food cravings, tiredness, irritability and even feeling low.
According to Everyday Health — information hub that inspires and empowers people to live their healthiest lives, every day, through trusted, medically reviewed information and expert health, period pains can get so bad that doctors gave it a medical name: dysmenorrhea.
The good news is, while period cramps can be rough, there are quite a few ways to ease the pain.
Everyday Health suggests these home remedies to help with period pains:
Heating pad
Research shows that using heat works just as well as ibuprofen for period cramps. A hot water bottle is a good example.
