Cape Town based DJ and Producer, CA MA GU (born Nwabisa Disemba) is set to release a highly anticipated album and a single where she features grammy award winner- Wyclef Jean.

The album is set to be released in October. CA MA GU says that her people should expect African sounds as she is evolving.

“I feel like CA MA GU is evolving and I am allowing her to evolve as much as she can because I believe if you let your craft take you to places you will never go wrong.”

Well, seems like CA MA GU is working overtime because in her recent interview with Expresso, she revealed that has an event, Emcimbini coming up which she is using to try and create a space were people come together.

“I am trying to create something in the space that I am in for everyone come together and build something,” she said.

During her interview, she also shared that she met with Wyclef Jean through a programme that was held at Bridges Academy where she was selected to be interviewed by him and he heard her play and hit her up.

“Before the interview I was playing and he heard me and he asked if I could mix his song, from there we exchanged numbers and continued to chat.”

CA MA GU shared that the collaboration with Wyclef Jean humbles her so much because now her music will be playing in places that she has never even seen with her own eyes.
