Shekhinah Reveals She Secretly Welcomed Her First Child

Shekhinah has entered a new chapter in her life, revealing that she has welcomed her first child, a baby girl.

The award-winning South African singer shared the news with her fans on Friday, September 11, announcing that her daughter is already three months old. While she celebrated the milestone publicly, Shekhinah has chosen to keep some details private, including her daughter’s name.

The “Suited” hitmaker marked the special announcement by sharing a series of photographs from her pregnancy. In the images, Shekhinah is seen dressed in white at the beach, documenting what she described as a significant and unforgettable season of her life.

Reflecting on her pregnancy, she said the photographs would serve as a permanent reminder of the time before her life changed with the arrival of her daughter.

“We are so lucky to have you with us, baby girl. I am leaving these pictures here as a forever reminder of the magic that is pregnancy and a time stamp to when life changed forever for the better,” she wrote.

Shekhinah went on to express her gratitude for her daughter’s arrival, crediting God for the blessing.

“By God’s grace you are here and more precious than we could have asked for. Happy 3 months to our favourite girl,” she added.

Shekhinah, whose full name is Shekhinah Thandi Donnell, first gained national attention as a contestant on Idols SA before establishing herself as one of the country’s leading pop and R&B artists. The album went on to achieve multi-platinum status in South Africa and earned her several South African Music Awards.
