Have you ever watched Big Brother Mzansi and wondered what you would bring to Biggie’s house? Now is the time to find out. Auditions for Season 7, titled Uphethen?, are officially open, giving aspiring housemates across South Africa the opportunity to showcase their personalities, creativity and confidence in a bid to become the next reality TV star.

Mzansi Magic announced the opening of entries on 20 October, inviting South African citizens aged 21 and older to submit a two-minute audition video. With the search underway, the message to hopefuls is clear: stand out by being original, memorable and unapologetically yourself.

What Big Brother Mzansi Is Looking For

Personality is central to the audition process, with the selection team looking for fun-loving, creative and original individuals who are open-minded and respectful of other people’s views and lifestyle choices.

Rather than trying to imitate former housemates or present a version of themselves they think the producers want to see, applicants are encouraged to let their individuality shine through. Whether it is humour, confidence, a unique talent or an interesting personal story, hopefuls have two minutes to show what makes them stand out.

The challenge is to make those two minutes count by giving viewers and the selection team a genuine sense of who they are and what they could bring to the house.

Liema Pantsi Shares Advice for Season 7 Hopefuls

Season 6 winner Liema Pantsi has a message for anyone considering putting themselves forward for the upcoming season: take the chance and remain authentic.

Reflecting on her experience, Pantsi said the show challenged her, helped her grow and taught her the importance of staying true to herself.

“Big Brother Mzansi changed my life in ways I could never have imagined,” she said, encouraging prospective housemates to give the audition process their best effort. She added that taking the chance could be the beginning of something incredible.

Her advice highlights the personal growth that can come with the experience, beyond the competition itself. For those hoping to follow in her footsteps, the emphasis is on embracing the opportunity rather than holding back out of fear or trying to be someone else.
