South African Radio presenter and TV star Zanele Potelwa has been named as the co-host for the 32nd South African Music Awards, and she will be sharing hosting duties with award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest.

Fans have welcomed the news with a lot of hype online, calling the pairing a fresh and lively pick for one of SA’s biggest entertainment nights.

The announcement came after Cassper confirmed earlier this week that he would be hosting, with organisers now revealing Zanele as his co-host. Together, they’re expected to bring music knowledge, stage energy and years of broadcasting experience to the SAMA32 stage.

A big moment for Zanele

For Zanele, this is another major career highlight. She’s best known for hosting 5FM’s 5 Drive and has quickly become one of South Africa’s most recognisable young media voices. She’s built her name on confident interviews and a vibrant on-air presence that connects with audiences.

What to expect at SAMA32

This year’s awards are branded the “Homecoming Edition” and will take place at Sun City in on 15 August 2026.

They are the “Homecoming Edition” because they are returning to the awards’ traditional home. The move celebrates legacy, culture, and boosts local tourism after 3 years away.

With Cassper and Zanele leading the night, viewers can expect an entertaining show that celebrates South Africa’s top musical talent and the growth of the local music scene.
